The new year is celebrated in different ways around the world. Please go to the following link and read how different cultures celebrate the new year: Click this link or copy and paste the following website into your browser: http://www.parents.com/holiday/new-years/traditions/happy-new-year-around-the-world/

The new year represents a fresh and new beginning. By turning a new page, many Americans resolve to make a change in their lives. A resolution is a promise to make a change or fix something. From the U.S. government website, www.usa.gov, it states the following are some resolutions that Americans make for the new year:
  • Volunteer to Help Others
  • Get a Better Education
  • Save Money
  • Get Fit
  • Eat Healthy Food

Your Weekly Weebly Assignment:
1.  Explain what your family/culture does for the new year. What did you do this past New Year's Eve to welcome 2015?
2.  What is your New Year's resolution?
Write 5 complete sentences about what your resolution is for this new year. Explain what your resolution is, why you chose it, what it will help you do, what your goal is, and what you think  might happen if you keep your resolution.
