Today is the last day of instruction for students. Although this wasn't the way we expected to end the 2019-2020 school year, I am proud of each one of you and amazed with how we were able to make this work! We will stay in touch throughout the summer and I will be sending your OELPA scores as soon as we get them. Please keep reading and practicing your English as much as possible so that we can start next school year off strong! I'm going to leave you all with this blessing called, "May The Road Rise Up To Meet You." Wishing you the best always and a safe and happy summer! To my Muslim friends, wishing you eid mubarak as you finish your Ramadan celebrations with Eid Al Fitr.

Please make sure to continue working on your assignments for all of your classes as we're reaching the end of the school year. Check Progress Book and reach out to your teachers to make sure you've completed your assignments. I will always continue to check-in and help you. You've got this!
Hi students and families, Welcome back to Part 2 of Remote Learning. Each school distributed chromebook computers for families who do not have computer access. All students should be doing work posted in Google Classroom and turn in assignments before they are due. Please contact myself or your teachers if you have any questions about the schoolwork or if there are any issues accessing the assignments. We are all here for you and hope that you all stay safe, healthy, and happy. The following internet providers are offering free or reduced-priced services during the coronavirus pandemic crisis.

Mantente seguro y saludable Dear Students and Families, This is a very surreal time in history as we live through the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Within a week things have been changing so drastically. Everyone’s lives turned upside down. Tears when I think about our children without school, people without work or childcare, small businesses that are forced to shut down, and our overwhelmed leaders and health care providers who are risking their lives for us. Fear for what might come in the next hours, days, weeks, and even possibly months. Yet also hopes of a healthier and better time when we can go back to our lives. We should be very grateful to be in a state and school system where everything is being done for our safety and to curb this pandemic. Our teachers are still working and will always be there for our students. Although digital learning isn’t as fruitful as real classrooms, we have been on top of adapting to the rapid changes and equipped our students with what they need to continue learning from home. Everyone is doing their best to get through this very difficult and historical time that I hope will soon pass. My prayers for the vulnerable, the children, and those in need. I hope you and your and families will all be in good health and we can get back to normal and better lives. Please be sure to check for updates via email or ClassDojo and contact me Monday-Friday 9:00AM-1:00PM if you have questions about school work. I hope to see you all soon after we recover from this difficult time. Take care, Miss Nemer From February 3rd until March 27th, all English learners (grades K-12) will be taking the OELPA test. OELPA stands for Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment. This test will assess student proficiency in: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. All four parts of the test will be on the computer and students can get extra practice at this site: Student Practice Site. From there, select the student's grade, then click on the yellow arrows under OELPA Practice Tests. Scores will be sent in May. Welcome back to school for the 2019-2020 school year! I look forward to working with your children and helping them reach their English proficiency goals in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
